About Mei An Qin school(梅庵琴派)and Yi Lan Qin Zhai Studio

Wang Yang qing(王燕卿)is guqin teacher of Zhu Cheng qin school who comes from Shang dong. His student is Xu li sung( 徐立孙) and he studied guqin at Nanjing Normal university. He collected and publisfed Wang Yang qin's guqin melodies since then that works has been called Mei An qin pu and it was called Mei An qin school.His follower Wu zong han(吴宗汉) come to Taiwan and his students Wang hai yang(王海燕) and Wang hai yang's student Chen ching yi(Helen)(陈钦怡),estabishes the Yi Lan Qin Zhai Studio for continuing the melodies of Mei An qin school .

In ancient times, The guqin is a unique musical instrument.Along with calligraphy ,the game of Go , and Painting , the qin formed one of the four cultural cornerstones of a learned Chinese. Historically, the guqin has been viewed as a symbol of Chinese high culture and the instrument most expressive of the essence of Chinese music.

Yi Lan Qin Zhai Studio's guqin basic class is learning begin from Mai-An Qin school's qin music , then learn other qin school's qin music.You will learn the skill of playing the guqin in our guqin class(finger techniques not guqin theory),Sometime you will learn about the Guqin theory,like Origins, legends and history of the instrument ,Construction, form and aesthetics etc. You will learn guqin with great interest ;while the finger teacniques learning from play qin music.
